FRAME type approval plate Body type approval plate #87501-205-040 (87501 207-030 for CB95) was glued on right side bottom of the frame. By Ministry of transport, II-358 and II-1016 were numbered for CB92 Engine and CB92 frame respectively. My friend Kozo has twice found 87501-205-610 plate for German export model stuck on left side of the body. Frame Number information & Location The method of numbering CB92's adheres to the following protocol. On '59 and early '60 bikes, the frame number is on the headstock, on later bikes the frame number is located on the left hand side of the frame just below the toolbox. 1959 - 60 Location 1961 - 64 Location 1959 are prefixed with 59 and follow the convention CB92-59-910000 on They use six digit numbers starting with 91, so they are 91**** 1960 are prefixed with 60 and follow the convention CB92-60-010000 on They use six digit numbers starting with 01, so they are 01**** After 1960 the year number is dropped and the subsequent years follow the convention CB92-1100000 on. located on the LHS by side cover. See above 1961 uses seven digit numbers starting with 11, so they are 11***** 1962 Don't ask us why the 1964 system changed , we don't know.
